Rayman
Created in 1995 by Michel Ancel (who also created another masterpiece: Beyond Good & Evil) for Ubisoft, Rayman is the magical limbless protagonist in a series of platformer videogames!

My time with Rayman
How could I forget! I was in primary school and my family bought our first ever computer. Built by a friend of my dad's, it came with a couple of videogames installed: among those was Rayman 3.
And so we came home that night, at around midnight and we turned on the computer. I clicked on the Rayman 3 icon and that's when it began: my love for videogames, and this one series!
I soon developed a big love for the character. I wanted to be like him (and I think I've succeeded in some way...) and he was just my comfort character during the entirety of primary school, which, mind you, was not an easy time at all, but he made it that much better.
My love for Rayman 3 was well known at my school, so much so that a classmate gave me her copy of Rayman 2 and Rayman M!
I then played Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends, and I'm currently trying to complete everything in Rayman Legends (which I've been playing everyday for a couple of months consistently. The amount of content that game has!!!)
Believe it or not, despite loving Rayman with all my heart, I have not finished Rayman 2. YET. I will soon, hopefully!
Sadly we haven't had a Rayman game in... TWELVE YEARS, I'M OKAY. It's crazy to see how the fanbase is still quite active, despite this. But 2025 was the 30th anniversary of Rayman, and Ubisoft has announced that they're working on a new chapter, which is going to be a triple-A title... we'll see! Maybe we'll finally get Rayman 4!
