Tomb Raider is back!
During the 2025 Game Awards, two new Tomb Raider games were announced: Legacy of Atlantis and Catalyst.
A remake and a new adventure
Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis is a re-imagining of the first Tomb Raider game, aiming to unify the three timelines (classic, LAU, 2013 reboot) into one Lara. She looks fantastic, with details pointing to each timeline, and a very nice English voice giving the exact vibe I was hoping for. She's an icon and she's the moment.
The game is set to release in 2026, for the 30th anniversary of Tomb Raider.

Tomb Raider Catalyst, on the other hand, is a completely new adventure, taking place after the events of the reboot trilogy and the netflix series.
We haven't seen much of it, so I don't have an opinion yet. I think Lara looks good, while a bit unpolished in her facial animations, and her voice is perfect.
I am quite tired of seeing buildings collapse (that happens way too often in the reboot series XD), so the trailer didn't excite me too much.
It seems like the game will be set in just one location (India), and we won't travel around the world. But that's only speculation from the trailer. We'll see what this new story has to offer. I'm hoping for some nice platforming, tricky puzzles, and perhaps a Croft Manor level too! That would be fantastic.
The game will come out in 2027, so we'll have to wait a bit longer!
