There is a big difference between overall LGBT+ rights and trans specific rights. As trans people are being used as scapegoats in many political environments, it's important to keep an eye out for that.
The UK has got much worse
This does not come as surprising. It's sad that a country that used to be safe for LGBT+ people is turning more and more conservative and dangerous, especially for trans folks, as the UK recent court ruling shows.
